WHAT IS VOICING?
Voicing combines the act of singing and permanent resolution of a problem, with the experience of celebration and creativity!
Why?
“An unexpected relaxation method to discover that fears, emotional and physical barriers, negative judgments, pain and wounds can be resolved and healed through creative action!”
Voicing is a method of developing communication skills, which is based on the act of voice and singing in a specific way and provides a holistic and powerful transformation by including our body, emotions and beliefs in the process.
Voicing is a holistic approach that increases your individual and environmental awareness and ensures that personal transformation/communication skills are permanent. By perceiving the messages in one’s own voice in spiritual, mental and bodily cognition processes, VOICING© appeals to anyone who knows himself or is on a journey of self-discovery, is sensitive to the phenomenon of sound, or has problems with sound.
VOICING© reopens the path leading to the individual’s own most precious truth, his own soul. It is based on the understanding and the experience of how the song has a power for transmission and for transformation, if practiced in a certain way.
VOICING© teaches us how to vibrantly identify and rehabilitate our inner experiences and express them through sound. It removes psychological barriers and physical blockages. This is a great source of healing and enriches communication by improving the field and method of self-expression of the individual.
In this work nobody is out of tune, nobody is inadequate, and nothing is discarded but everything is inquired and processed through the voice.
Meet the Founder of the Voicing Method!
Pratibha de Stoppani
Pratibha’s interest in sound and sound began in 1974 while dealing with pre-Colombian anthropology in the rainforests of Latin America, and she conducted experimental research on shamanism.
During these transformative experiences, the power and secrets of the human voice and voices began to be revealed to him.
Returning to Europe, he continued to explore sound, voice, and language and attended several audio-sound workshops before he really found the answers and confrontations he was looking for. It was around this time that he became interested in humanistic psychology and its relationship to the Sufi tradition and teachings of Taoism.
Eventually, the urgency to find a living spiritual Master whose vision and techniques were tuned to the complexity of modern man led him to Osho in India in 1976.
Later that year, she combined Osho’s direct guidance with Frederick Leboyer’s natural birth instruction in India, giving birth to her daughter. She later learned about her approach to using sound in birth preparation from Leboyer herself: this led to her own work in natural birth preparation.
Since then, she has trained in many psychological and spiritual therapies, including emotional, breath and bodywork, bio-energetics, Psychic Massage, healing techniques, t’ai chi, hypnosis, Esoteric Science, and Self Study (Diamond Logos). He combined his discoveries and experiences with Osho’s vision of spiritual awakening to create his own unique transformational approach, which he calls VOICING©.
Today Pratibha does group work and teaches the VOICING© method all over the world.
The Song in Ancient Times
Since ancient times, humans have expressed their deepest emotions through sound, music and songs.
Words often fell short of expressing the intensity of heartfelt joy, sadness, sorrow, fear, pain, victory, triumph or religiousness. It is an authentic natural response buried deep in human consciousness, to respond to experiences that evoke strong emotions in their deepest nature with sound and song. Our ancestors knew well the effects of sound, song and rhythm on matter.
In ancient times, they created special energy fields to support work performance where physical strength and motivation were important and to facilitate the coordination of their movements in groups. Thus, extraordinary achievements were achieved.
Similarly, they had learned how sound affects various levels of consciousness. During religious rites, they were able to create special sound patterns in the form of chorus and open the doors to experience the divine. In the healing arts since the first humans, sounds and songs have been used with scientific knowledge of their implications.
Only in recent years, humans began to investigate again the vibrational effects of sounds on the cells and applying them as healing agents.
The Song Today
Our so called modern Western culture has gradually lost understanding of all the possibilities that sound offers for communication, healing, psychological and spiritual transformation. The mental activities and mechanical perception of reality that are honored today have reduced singing to an element of entertainment for others, thus forming definite ideas of how the song should be sung.
When we can’t sing as expected, we think we won’t sing, and that it’s an act only a few ‘gifted’ can do. Likewise, we are coded to judge others in the same way.
The VOICING© technique helps us understand that singing, like painting and dancing, is our birthright. Anyone can sing! People can do this “freely” when they rediscover that the song is a direct expression of their emotions and longings, a naive expression of their deepest feelings and aspirations.
Basic Concepts
Above all, VOICING© is suitable and recommended for anyone who has a passion for finding out who they are
Resonance
Resonance, or vibration, is a sign that a moment of truth has occurred and is therefore used as a guide. It doesn’t matter if the song is hoarse, jarring, unusual, impressive, and awesome; if the participant has the courage to stay with the emotion and to go into it totally, the sound will acquire the quality of resonance. With practice he will learn to recognize resonance as the signal that something truthful has been activated and wants to be expressed. When sound is resonant it means that it produces a sequence of overtones. This particular sequence happens in various manifestations of life. It is apparently even present between the planets. This phenomenon shows that when the song is resonant (no matter how it sounds) the experience is in perfect attunement with the universe and has therefore the right to be expressed.
Listening
We need to practice the art of listening in order to develop and improve the connection with one’s own voice and the inner world. Generally, we cannot express sounds we do not hear.
When we say “Listening” in VOICING©, we mean real listening. So, this is not just a mechanical state of hearing; it is a state of holistic awareness of the auditory scenario we are in. In the modern world, with the increase of visual impulses, increasing sound pollution, our auditory capacity is gradually atrophying. Reawakening to the art of listening enhances receptivity and centeredness and opens the door to the silences of the heart which, paradoxically, can sometimes be “heard”. Several mystical traditions have spoken of the “soundless sound”.
Hear from those who have experienced the VOICING© Method
I had a unique session experience. I sang freely accompanied by bodily activity and explored my voice, different tones of my voice from low to high. In the individual session, I felt my feelings and fears and became aware of the limits I set for myself. Voicing was the most comfortable way to improve me. In group work, I experienced the power of communication, powerful energy frequencies, and the healing power of sound. Thank you, Chandra!
I had no prior experience or knowledge of this subject. When we started working, I was a little nervous before because we had learned so far that we had to raise our voices a lot. As the exercises progressed and I observed the other participants, this anxiety began to pass. As I began to express my feelings differently, I began to feel relief. Freeing myself with the guidance of the instructor brought a feeling of happiness. In this work, you confront yourself and raise awareness about many issues that we keep to ourselves and cannot confess. I highly recommend that you experience such an experience.
